Primary Care ICT
We support the delivery of ICT services to GP Practices
The Primary Care Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Team manages ICT services in GP Practices, including service support, infrastructure and desktop support, on behalf of the two Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Luton CCGs. Furthermore, Primary Care ICT provides advice and support on investment in discretionary IT systems and services to CCGs.
Since October 2015, a team of four Primary Care Implementation & Utilisation Leads have been covering our Primary Care customer base. The main objectives of the team are to manage and support national and local Primary Care IT programmes and applications. The team provides intelligence, guidance and support to practices in order to maximise utilisation of systems and exploit best practice enabling safe, effective patient care.
Meet The Team…

Shane Scott
Starting his NHS IT career in secondary care before moving to the challenging emerging arena of primary care IT in 2005, Shane has more than 15 years’ experience as an IT professional in the NHS. Shane has expert knowledge of both primary and secondary health care systems processes and provides strategic advice to steer commissioning decisions and patient outcomes. He has built and managed high delivering support services, together with high delivering teams to implement and support national and local initiatives within timescale and budget.

Martina Vogel-Matthews
Martina has extensive experience of project and programme management and leading major change initiatives in the NHS. Over the past 18 years Martina has worked in a variety of NHS Informatics and project management roles at both local and regional level.
Within the Primary Care IT Team Martina co-ordinates the team’s work programme and works closely with CCGs to identify and support both national and local objectives.

Marie Barnes
Marie worked in Banking for 16 years before joining the NHS in 2003, starting as an IT Trainer. Marie has worked on various clinical systems within healthcare settings in GP Practices, Prisons, Urgent Care, Child Health and Community.
Within the Primary Care IT Team Marie predominantly leads on e-Referral and is supporting other applications that are included in GP contract and GPSoc.

Theresa O’Donnell
Theresa worked within the Leisure Industry in a busy Finance department for 4 years before joining the NHS in 2003. Initially working in Finance before progressing into IT support where she has gained considerable experience over the past 10 years.
Within the Primary Care IT Team Theresa predominantly leads on Summary Care Record, GP2GP and supports other applications that are included within the GP Contract.

Tina Glaholm
Tina has 20 years’ experience gained within IT informatics departments 13 years within the commercial sector, 7 years’ in the Health service within all care settings including community, hospice, child health, prison and GP delivering training and Business analyst support.
Know working within the GP IT team predominantly leading on patient online and supporting and enabling all other national IT programs.

Raj Sahota-Mandair
Raj graduated in Computer Science from Loughborough University, having worked for number of Private Commercial Companies as Data Analysis. Joining the NHS in 2010, working in various departments as an ICT Team Leader and System Trainer.
Within the Primary Care IT Team Raj predominantly leads on Electronic Prescribing Service and is supporting other applications that are included in GP contract and GPSoc.
